Gran Dovejo Sip Tequila Cask Strength Single Barrel Reposado Tequila
A collaboration born from exceptional craftsmanship, this Gran Dovejo and Sip Tequila single barrel reposado tequila delivers cask strength character in a strictly limited release of just 210 bottles.
Produced at NOM 1414 in Arandas, Jalisco by rising master distiller Sergio Cruz, this reposado was distilled to 49% and reduced to 43% before entering previously used Jack Daniels barrels with no additional char, where it rested for 235 days. The result is an additive-free expression that honors the agave rather than masking it, verified by Tequila Matchmaker and bearing the hallmarks of a distiller at the top of his craft.
- Nose: Fruity and inviting with gentle touches of oak and a subtle herbality that hints at the agave's highland roots
- Palate: Cooked agave takes center stage alongside dried apricots, banana, and soft whispers of vanilla and oak that never overshadow the bright, fruit-forward base
- Finish: Lasting, bright, and sweet with a clean fade that keeps you reaching for another sip
The fruit-forward character and gentle oak integration make this reposado a natural fit for an elevated Paloma or a spirit-forward Old Fashioned riff, though its balance and depth reward patient sipping neat above all else.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the agave expression open fully. Crafted from blue weber agave grown in the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco.
