El Gran Legado x Aged Agave Single Barrel Reposado

El Gran Legado x Aged Agave Single Barrel Reposado

A rare single barrel reposado born from a personal act of gratitude, the El Gran Legado x Aged Agave Single Barrel honors the bond between founder Steve Vera and the very first person to taste the brand after distillation. Every detail of its production reflects that spirit of intention and care.

Sourced from single estate agaves grown in Michoacan, this tequila is crafted at the celebrated Cascahuin distillery using traditional stone ovens where the agave is steam-cooked for three full days, then allowed an extra day to cool before being crushed on a roller mill. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by a double distillation on a stainless steel alembic still fitted with a copper coil, preserving the agave's natural character at every stage.

  • Nose: Aromas rooted in slow-cooked agave with earthy, mineral depth and a warm, inviting sweetness from the barrel rest.
  • Palate: Rich and layered, with cooked agave at the core, complemented by notes of vanilla, light oak, and gentle spice that reflect the single barrel aging.
  • Finish: Smooth and lingering, with a clean agave-forward warmth that fades gracefully.

This single barrel reposado shines on its own but also elevates a classic Tequila Old Fashioned or a Paloma, where its depth and restrained sweetness can truly stand out.

Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the barrel and agave character develop. A tribute expression crafted from single estate Michoacan agave at Cascahuin distillery.
