Real Minero Espadin Mezcal

Real Minero Espadin Mezcal

From one of Oaxaca's most revered mezcal families, Real Minero Espadin is crafted in Santa Catarina Minas using ancient clay pot distillation and rested in glass through the maduro en vidrio method, yielding a spirit of rare softness and complexity.

The Angeles family has been producing mezcal in the high mountain village of Santa Catarina Minas for generations, with Master Distiller Edgar Angeles Carreno overseeing every step under NOM 37. Sustainably grown espadin agave is wild-fermented in open wooden vats and distilled in small clay pots, a technique that coaxes extraordinary texture and fruit-forward depth from the plant. The maduro en vidrio resting process rounds out the profile without masking the spirit's authentic, artisanal character.

  • Nose: Citrus, raspberries, fresh blueberries, meyer lemon, and a whisper of campfire smoke
  • Palate: Fruit pie, clay, smoked rhubarb, cooked agave, and a cool lift of spearmint
  • Finish: Clean and bright mouthfeel with a lasting smoked fruit finish

Real Minero Espadin shines served neat or over a large ice cube, and its fruit-forward profile makes it a natural fit in a Mezcal Negroni or a smoky Paloma where its complexity can truly come through.

Best enjoyed neat or lightly chilled to honor its craft origins. Produced from sustainably grown espadin agave in Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca.
